The drawer: sets folded away one after another.
1The drawer
I sleep hot, so I gave up on pajamas. Every time I wore a real set, the night went the same way. I fell asleep fine, then woke up in the dark, damp and restless, with the sheets stuck to my skin.
So the nice set stays folded in the drawer, and I wear the old tank top instead, even in winter.
“I've always slept in a loose tank and boxers/boy shorts, like even in the dead of winter. Otherwise I'll totally wake up sweaty and irritated!”
One woman put it like this:
“If I accidentally wear poly to bed, sheets and nightshirt are soaked through with sweat by halfway through the night and I'm waking up to change and air it out.”
I know the 2 a.m. outfit change. Wake up soaked, swap the shirt, air out the sheets, lie back down damp.

2What I tried
I did try. I bought a satin set that looked nice but felt like plastic. I tried a polyester set and was soaked before the night was half over. I tried a modal set that was supposed to keep me cool. I tried one so stiff and scratchy I couldn't wait to take it off. They all ended up in the same drawer.
“I purchased a set of satin pajamas like the ones in this post precisely once in my life, and oh my god they sucked! They’re sweaty and uncomfortable and I don’t know a single woman who’d wear those on a daily basis.”
These are super soft! I really like the feel of them. Unfortunately I do tend to get a little warm when I sleep, so I didn’t keep these- it’s too much warmth added and not super breathable.
“it feels like a million tiny needles when you put them on. [...] They're 70% rayon, 30% linen.”
3What nobody told me
Here's what nobody told me. It was never me. It was what I was sleeping in.
Your body gives off moisture all night. It either goes into the fabric or stays on your skin. Polyester takes in almost none of it, so the moisture stays on you. Before it even feels wet, polyester takes up 0.4% of its own weight. Cotton takes up 8.5%. Flax linen takes up about 12%.

4The set
That's why AmourLinen pajamas are 100% linen, made from European flax. Linen breathes, so air and moisture keep moving. If you think linen is stiff and scratchy, I get it. These are stone-washed, and they get softer with every wash. The people wearing them say so.
“The fabric is lightweight, breathable, and soft—perfect for warm days or layering through changing seasons.”
